Dragon's Den

Welcome to everyone involved in the 2010 Dragon's Den programme, from the Green Valley Grocer.

This page gives you some information about the Green Valley Grocer and you can also download some useful resources that might help.

The shop is operated by a cooperative business - Slaithwaite Cooperative Limited - which is owned and democratically controlled by its members on a one person one vote basis.

The shop was opened on July 10 2009 following an intensive 16 weeks of work that took the business from just an idea through to being a fully functioning business. 

The downloads below include:

1. A copy of the presentation slides shown at The Green Building Company on Thursday afternoon
2. A copy of the special Dragon's Den business plan written as if the Green Valley Grocer is about to start up.
3. For those of you who might be interested, there is also a copy of the real business plan that we put together to raise investment from our shareholder members and to enable us to plan what we needed to do to launch the business. It only includes summary financial information. We also produced a series of detailed financial projections (3 years of profit and loss and cashflow projections) that were used to generate the summary numbers.

We probably need to do a new business plan now!
